Posted by April Steele • Thursday, June 9. 2011 • Category: Jobs & OpportunitiesThe Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art (SNGMA) is seeking a Senior Curator to lead on the conception, management and implementation of a dynamic and innovative programme of exhibitions at SNGMA, and to lead and manage within National Galleries of Scotland (NGS), and at a national level, the vision, management and delivery of the ARTIST ROOMS programme.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future programme of one of Europe’s major galleries. You will be an exceptional individual, with in-depth knowledge of international modern and contemporary art, and proven curatorial excellence. You will play a significant part in developing and maintaining an international network of contacts, and possess strong influencing and decision-making skills. You will also work collaboratively with other departments in the development of gallery-wide projects and will possess budget and line management experience.
You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to lead and inspire. You will work flexibly within a team, and work collaboratively across the National Galleries of Scotland.
