Enrico Bossan, head of the photography department at Fabrica, and editorial director of Colors Magazine, and Elisabeth Biondi - Visuals Editor of the New Yorker - are seeking two curatorial assistant interns to help develop all aspects of their exhibitions for the New York Photo Festival 2011.

Interns will work closely with Bossan, Biondi, and Festival Director Sam Barzilay to coordinate artist participation, handle all necessary paperwork, manage digital content, and oversee production for each exhibition.

An exhibition catalog, a symposium and an accompanying book will also be developed around the curated exhibitions.

Prospective interns should have a strong background in event production or curatorial studies. Successful candidates will be self-driven, able to contribute to weekly brainstorm and discussion sessions, draft written materials and arrange logistics associated with project production work.

Ideal candidates for the Curatorial Assistant Internship have the following experience and qualities:

- A knowledge of and experience working in event production, curatorial projects, or similar environments. The ideal candidate will probably be a graduate student or post-graduate.

- An insatiable intellectual curiosity.

- Impeccable and efficient writing and editing abilities, with the ability to deliver quality texts and edits on deadline.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a small team.

Salary and Commitment: This is an unpaid, part-time position (at least 25 hours per week commitment, ramping up to a full time position in the month of May). Internships will start by mid-March and continue until June 2011.
